My name is Micke Hasselqvist, and I’m a musician and web programmer from Stockholm, Sweden. I do two things for a living:
- I build websites.
- I play music.
I thought it was about time that I combined my two skills and started paying tribute back to the community that once helped me so much when I was myself starting out playing guitar.
Back then, all I had was an old acoustic guitar (dirty strings and hard to tune as hell!) and a determination to become a guitar master! That path which I took has led me to co-found the band Arcane Reality – a progressive power metal band. Deeply rooted in Dream Theater, Iron Maiden and Nightwish, the band strives to combine our years of experience into making something rocking, melodic and progressive. Music that catches you, but with more layers than meet the eye. (Ear?)
